Eric James Marzec
Age 60 of West Seneca, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family.
Born on January 15, 1966, in Buffalo, New York. Eric was the son of the late Vincent Marzec and Stella (Buczek) Marzec.
Eric lived his life with passion and dedication. He attended Frontier High School and went to work in the family construction business alongside his father and brothers. Beyond his extensive knowledge of building houses and remodeling, he was known for his love of the casino, stock car racing and most importantly, fishing. His laughter, quick-wit and nonchalant demeanor made him infectious to be around.
To the community, Eric was a kind, devoted, and generous friend that anyone could ask for. But to us, his family, he was a protector, confidant and partner in crime. We all shared an unbreakable bond filled with family nicknames, playing jokes on each other, weekends at the cabin, weekends at the race track and so much more. But once again, let’s not forget about the fishing trips. The world is undoubtedly much dimmer without him here.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Stella Marzec, siblings Michael, Kenny (Sandy), Gregg (Renee), Bobby (Debbie and the late Jacquelyne), Kathy (David Beatty) LaPrad, Laura (Michael) Cherico. Also his high school sweetheart, Julie Buckley. Grandchildren, Koren, Elliott and Eric Buckley. Nieces and nephews, Devon, Shari, Heather (Jay), Cory, Tyler, Andrew (Alyssa), Brittany (Joel), Cody, Kimmy, Zach (Tarah), Ashley (Seth) and Emily (DJ). Also 8 great nieces/nephews and numerous cousins and friends who were like family to him.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Vincent Marzec, son Randy Buckley, sister Jacqueline Greenwood, sister-in-law Jacquelyne Marzec and niece Jessica Marie Marzec.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm at Kazmierczak funeral home, 3460 Clinton Street, West Seneca.
All who knew and loved him are invited to come and share their favorite memories.
